After bringing over 300 000 visitors to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the first international retrospective dedicated to David Bowie‘s career will settle at the Cité de la Musique in Paris, from March 3 to May 31, 2015.
“David Bowie Is” invites fans and visitors to discover the career of this major artist, who is known for moving from one genre to another with great ease: glam rock, funk, soul, disco or electro, he was always ahead of the game. His music and even his body became an instrument to display his showmanship.
The huge success of the London exhibition shows just how popular David Bowie still is. You will now get the chance to visit its Parisian edition: unpublished video footage, photographs, costumes, scenic elements, drawings and instruments will be unveiled to document the incredible career of a perfectly unique artist. A wonderful tribute to Bowie, who still claims to be influenced by artists and filmmakers such as Andy Warhol and Stanley Kubrick.
The Cité de la Musique is located just 19 minutes away from Hotel Aida Marais with the metro: if you are planning a trip to Paris, we offer attractive rates starting from €79.
