From April 8th, 2014 to January 4th, 2015, in collaboration with EPIDEMIC, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie will launch a major exhibition at the crossroads between art, science and technology: Art Robotique, l’Expo Monumentale. Twenty works of art in the field of robotics, mostly unknown to the French public, will be displayed in a space of 1600 m².
Ten world-renowned artists or groups of artists are gathered in the exhibition around these works of art, some of which will be unveiled for the first time.
Any work using robotics or automated technologies is considered “robotic art”. Some of these achievements include the representation of the robot, others place them at the heart of creation, giving life to the works that could never have evolved without this robotic contribution. Sometimes these robots are hominoids but here the exhibition favors those whose shape does not resemble a copy of the human body.
Staying at Hotel Aida Marais will guarantee easy access to the Cité des Sciences, as it is located just 25 minutes away with the Paris metro. Additionally, our hotel offers attractive rates and is ideally located in Paris if you need to travel: the Gare du Nord station, where you can take the Eurostar train, is within walking distance.
